• Ebony Maw is a member of an alien race little seen on Earth. He has unique physiological characteristics that render him mostly immune to terrestrial diseases, toxins, and poisons. Aside from general biological differences, he has a considerably different range of abilities from a bog-standard human.
• Superhuman: His strength and healing rates exceed peak human rates naturally. He recovers from injuries about as fast as a super soldier. He has double the durability of a peak human. He withstands the vicissitude of space for up to an hour when humans would perish in minutes.
• Speed: Assisted by telekinesis, he can run at 30 mph in a sprint unassisted and intercept a martial artist's fast blows.
• Flight: Using his telekinesis, he flies at speeds up to 770 mph (Mach 1) with perfect maneuverability.
• Telekinesis: Maw wields impressive telekinesis on par with an alpha mutant. His force manipulations show incredible finesse and control at a range. His offensive powers have tremendous strength and agility. He can catch a hurled vehicle, strip and shape components into projectiles, and hurl them back in a burst at multiple targets in line of sight. He can erect powerful shields and barriers, deflect objects while attacking, and levitate himself or fly. He performs a wide array of feats, like shaping objects, launching allies or performing brute force attacks. He excels in puppeting victims or returning bullets and energy weapons back on their sources. Ethics don't much apply.
• Forceful Charm: Maw is considered a whisperer, able to inflict subtle psychic force (telepathy) via suggestions and implanted ideas in a subject. Spoken words and touch allow him to strengthen his insidious mental assaults, influencing a target without their knowledge. Implanted suggestions can be triggered later by a command word, causing a victim to experience emotions, impulses, or fulfill commands. He subverts their will by corrosive powers, but while his ability renders someone vulnerable to his manipulation, he -cannot- consciously read thoughts, broadcast thoughts or mentally attack.
• Supergenius: He has a top tier intellect. His willpower is superhuman and very difficult for non-cosmic psychic influences to penetrate.

Skills

• Subterfuge: Ebony Maw's lies outfox a demon and slide past tricksters easily. He has manipulated entire armies into assaulting their own civilian populations with a few well placed words. Control over his tone and expression radiates a trustworthy, benevolent mien when he is anything but.
• Persuasion: But of course you should have dealt with that troublesome governor. He was an obstacle to the peace and prosperity of the country, and the people look to you. They know you're the power behind the throne and respect you. It shouldn't be hard to open the vault, my lord, not at all. Everything you need would be in there, I agree. But, sir… I needn't tell you what to do, this was all your plan — and a remarkably executed one at that.
• He'll make a target believe almost anything he damn well wants them to with mild, moderate words, well constructed positions, and the very lightest of touch. In conjunction with his creative telepathic and telekinetic abilities, he achieves ruthless ends.
• Gadgetry: Alien technology rarely remains alien for long when he deconstructs and reassembles items to understand how they work. He is very good at deciphering use, jury-rigging results, and employing devices for his own ends.
• Languages: She speaks a broad range of Multiversal languages, from Kree, Shi'ar, Skrull to very obscure tongues. He also knows English and Mandarin.
• Cosmic Lore: He is familiar with customs of many races, the terrain of many planets, and cosmology in general. He uses this to melt seamlessly into foreign societies to undermine them.
• Piloting: Like all the Black Order, he can competently pilot spacecraft from Q-ships to skycycles. He is capable in any tech of the Black Order's army.

Advantages

• Armour: Ebony Maw's armour has been reinforced to resist damage on par with superheroic suits. It can withstand bullets and mundane weapons, reducing the efficacy of their blows to bruises.
• Black Order: Maw is a general in the dreaded, elite fighting unit sworn solely to the Mad Titan. The membership is very low, only six or seven members, but they hold fanatical loyalty to one another and their cause. He can draw on the full resources of fallen races and subjugated worlds. That includes spacecraft, minions to throw at problems, and a general body of knowledge held in common. In returns, he owes his loyalty to the order and their master, so if they come calling he had better well answer.
• Mad Titan: The only boss worth following, Ebony Maw has (almost) never failed his master. His fawning action has earned him favours. His corrosive influence as Thanos' herald furthers the dread invoked in his master's name. He gains a few benefits, most notably augmentations and improvements should he be injured.
• Teleportation Technology: Maw possesses a matrix of teleportational bracelets and devices that all connect to Black Order ships. These, when activated, can allow for brief hops (no further than a city) from a location to another bracelet, or back to a ship in orbit.

Flaws

• Fanatical Loyalty: Ebony Maw serves Thanos, full stop. No one else in the universe exists on the same level as his dread master. He will sacrifice everything in pursuit of a command, and stop at nothing to fulfill a goal. Failure is no option as far as he is concerned.
• Black Order: A general in the Mad Titan's army, Ebony Maw has a horrific reputation across the multiverse as a liar, a conniving manipulator, and someone who makes trickster gods look like measly toddlers fighting over toys in a sandbox. Anyone with half a clue whom he is dreads his appearance as a harbinger presaging doom and spares nothing to destroy him.
• Schemes Within Schemes: Maw always has strings to pull and plots on a back burner. His schemes can be inscrutible even to other members of the Black Order, and they consume him when a more straightforward plan may be sufficient. He doesn't do anything simply. What would be the fun in that?
• Sadist: Hands down, he enjoys inflicting pain and suffering on others while ostensibly acting as a benevolent, kind entity. Tears are manna. Screams are hymns. He wants his victims to hurt.
• Magic: Ebony Maw has no special protections against magic.
• Physical Limitations: For all his power, Ebony Maw is not a physical combatant like the rest of the Black Order. Superhumanly strong attacks can inflict substantial injuries on him that are not quick to heal. Obviously he prefers not to be hit.
