Background
Lindon Mills was a mild-mannered librarian whose life was ordinary before being struck by lightning on his way home from work one night. It was mystical lightning, the result of a spell cast by some master of higher magic. He was just a random victim of forces beyond his control.
Lindon ended up in a coma for eight days. When he woke up, something had changed. There were facts whispering around in his mind, creating a mental noise that drown everything else out. In time, he came to control the whispering enough to silence it, with effort.
What he couldn't control where the visions. The first one gave him a very clear picture of the Asgardians, their history what they were, and what they intended. He wasn't sure how to interpret the information at the time, and he had no one to tell. The ordeal left him exhausted, and unstable until the weight of the knowledge faded into the recesses of his subconscious.
Lindon is trying to get on with his life. He meditates to offset the stress of knowing more than the human mind can hold. He never fully recovers from the the visions, and he's on a slow slide into madness that terrifies him.

Traits
- Knowledge Repository: There are vast sums of seemingly unconnected knowledge in Lindon's head. Surface information can be called to mind fairly easily, but the deeper stuff — the mystical and monstrous stuff — comes only in visions he can't control that take their toll on his sanity.
- Super Intelligence: That kind of knowledge on tap makes Lindon super smart. He can calculate numbers instantly, work complex equations, and draw abstract conclusions from disjointed information within seconds. He's a walking encyclopedia, so he knows stuff. Lots of stuff.
- Psychic Resistance: The noise in his head from all those facts zipping around in his head offer him some resistance to telepathy and mind control. Instead of getting his thoughts, the telepath gets festooned with a tsunami of random trivia.
- Living Relic: Lindon got his powers when the spell of a sorcerer trying to create a relic hit Lindon instead. He's a living relic, making him detectable as such and giving him certain qualities of a relic, including its power (see: Knowledge Repository) and being able to choose a sorcerer, much like Dr. Strange's Cloak of Levitation. He can't be exploited by a sorcerer he doesn't choose. If he does choose a sorcerer, that sorcerer can trigger his visions, which are still random and still damage Lindon's psyche.
