Traits
- Flight- The wings do work. He's taken on enough of earthly matter that he can't go past about Mach 4. But unless he's racing some of the other fliers, that's more than enough.
- Angelic Body- He's not wholly indestructible. The physical matter he's taken on can be hurt, cut, or even destroyed, and it does cause him pain. But nearly any wound regenerates….and if his body's utterly atomized, it'll regenerate. It just takes him about forty eight hours, and hurts like hell when it happens. He does not need to breathe, eat, drink or sleep. HE can survive vacuum, and the utter extremes of temperature found in space, from the far depths of interstellar darkness to the hearts of stars.
- Smiting, Shield, and Armor- He no longer has the flaming sword that was his badge of office - it's in the hands of the next angel down in the hierarchy, Michael's adjutant, Gadreel. But he does retain his own ability to destroy - it manifests as bolts of energy, somewhere between lightning and fire. The destructive power is roughly equivalent to that of the more powerful grenades currently available. He can utterly destroy a car, badly damage something armored, and punch through even stone walls with a little patience.
- Strength- His strength is far beyond human. He can kick through a concrete wall with ease, lift a car and set it aside like someone moving a book to dust behind it. It's actually less than many mortal heroes - he's not used to the limitations of physical reality, honestly.
- Weapon Sympathy- It's not merely a part of his innate ability to understand the use of any weapon….but any weapon he uses will perform to the utmost of its ability. This isn't to say that he can fire an AK around corners or that if he smashes an obsidian knife against a wall it won't shatter. A tank he's driving can still run out of fuel or get stuck in the mud. But in his hands, guns don't jam, arrows fly true from the bow, and even advanced weapons like fighter jets perform like the dreams of their engineers. In other words, Murphy's law is entirely circumvented when in reach of his aura.
- Speech- He can, effectively, speak and understand the speech of pretty much every sort of sentient creature in Creation.
- Senses- They're keener than human as a default….and he can tune them up to ranges and frequencies far beyond mortal, parsing all sorts of radiation in various ways.
- Fear- There's a reason nearly every angelic interaction in the Bible begins with the angel in question saying, "Fear not." For if he exposes even a fraction of his true nature, it's almost always enough to scare the daylights out of any given mortal. And if he's exerting himself to be frightening rather than reassuring, it's enough to more or less stop them cold.
