Powers

• Shapeshifting: Severin can assume almost any animal form so long as he's seen it before, either personally, on film, or in a photograph. Illustrations and descriptions aren't good enough for him to get a grasp of what he needs to mimic. When in a particular animal form, he has access to all of that creature's natural abilities and vulnerabilities but retains his own mental acuity and memories.
• Selective Transformation: He is capable of only performing partial transformations, adopting only certain animalistic attributes. They follow the same limitations of familiarity as a full transformation. He can adopt attributes from one animal at a time. Attempting to add attirbutes from other animals will only last for only minutes before his body begins to reject the combinations as unnatural.
• Voice Projection: While transformed, he can project his voice into the minds of those nearest him within visual range. This only works for his own voice; no images, memories, or other information can be transmitted. He won't receive communication in return unless the target has the ability to communicate in a telepathic manner.
• Enhanced Physiology: He has slightly greater than human climbing, running, swinging, swimming, endurance, dexterity, strength, and dodging abilities due to his enhanced natural form when in his usual humanoid form.

Skills

• Expert Larcenist: He's a thief, master of sleight of hand, and quite skilled of getting in and out of places that others can't due to his ability to shapechange. He can pick pockets with the best of them and do so without being caught by all but the most perceptive.
• Musician: He's a singer and plays a bit of guitar well enough to do so professionally, but that would cut into his career of doing as little as possible. He does busk from time to time for extra cash, however.
• Security Expert: He's spent enough time figuring out how to circumvent them, that he's actually become quite an expert at security systems, cameras, etc. He can install them as well as he can get around them, and sometimes does for those who he might feel inclined to protect.
• Creative Combat: One of the downsides of shapeshifting is the inability to carry around weapons. So he is skilled at brawling with whatever fists or claws or teeth he might have at the time, and in humanoid form, a master of improvisational weaponry — bar stools, rocks, lawn darts, whatever might be at hand.

Advantages

• Friends in Low Places: Sev knows people who know people all over the U.S., mostly shady people, folks who know where to find things, mostly illegal things. His contacts can usually give him the low down on what's going on on the streets.
• Rabbit Holes: He's got a few places here and there where he has some bug-out bags stored with a bit of cash, some papers, some clothes, whatever he might need to make a quick getaway and set himself up somewhere else.
• Secret Stash: Severin made out like a literal bandit with a bunch of cash on one of his last gigs before heading north to New York to let things cool down back in New Orleans. That stash is secured somewhere safe in case he needs it someday. He likes to call it his retirement plan.

Flaws

• Call of the Wild: Severin feels more comfortable in animal forms than he does in the human one that he was born to. He feels compelled to change more often than not, and will begin to get uncomfortable if he has to remain human for long periods of time.
• It's About Survival: He's out for his own skin, his own things, his own territory. That's not to say that he isn't out for those he considers his territory/family; but that list is a pretty short list.
• Cheating Cheater: He has no qualms about using any and every advantage available to him to get what he wants when he wants it. If that means that he needs to lie, cheat, and steal — he doesn't suffer any particularly deep moral quandries. This may, however, make him less than trustworthy.
