Background
Yuliya Silin was born in 1944, her biological father was a decorated soldier that hunted German tanks and was killed in action against the Nazis during Stalingrad, while her mother died in childbirth. With no surviving or no known family members, she was made a ward of the State.
Life was tough in a Soviet run orphanage, though that was all she knew at that age, and she made the best of it. Luck was on her side, as she adopted by an KGB officer and his wife. Her adopted father was very strict, not allowing her to get away with the smallest mistake or even misbehave.
Her father saw the West as a corrupting influence, and strove to raise the perfect Soviet citizen. It was easier to fall into line with her father's wishes than to rebel, and a lot less painful. Her father's 'motivation' also helped her to maintain high grades at school. To combat the stress of her demanding father, she found joy in cooking and used it as an escape from her day to day life.
As she grew older, she was drafted to assist her her father's shadowy work. After all, who would expect an innocent looking teen girl to be spying or doing something untoward? As she became more useful, she was slowly trained to become more useful in the field. It was during this time that she adopted her adopted family's last name.
At first, she was trained in pistols and small concealable firearms, as well as the arts of spying. She was also chosen for explosives training, and during this time her ability to pinpoint structrual weaknesses in buildings and armoured vehilces was discovered. Her KGB trainers nurtured this ability, helping her to hone it.
Her first operational deployment was to Vietnam from 1960-1961 as an adviser to North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong against anti-communist forces. During this deployment, she was wounded in a training excercise and found herself being returned to the Soviet Union to recover.
After a period of recovery, she's now been reassigned to New York, this time as a sleeper agent who also maintains an emergency safehouse in case her fellow agents require it. She currently works as an insurance assessor/adjustor for a large multi-national company, and operates a small market stall on weekends so that she can bring in additional equipment if needed.

- Concealed Firearms Training: - Yuliya has had training with a collection of small handguns and concealable automatic weapons.
- Unarmed Training: - Yuliya has been trained in unarmed fighting techniques. She can be a handful to soldiers with basic training, though doesn't pose much of a risk to experts. She is not anywhere near the level of the Red Room Trained assassins.
- Explosives: - Explosives are Yuliya's bread and butter. She's comfortable producing, placing and detonating them. She also has skill in disarming them.
- Skill Booby: - traps - During her time in Vietnam as an advisor, Yuliya has learnt how to create and make different types of booby-traps and even modifying their design for urban purposes.
- Skill Languages: - Yuliya can fluently speak English, French, Russian and vietnamese.
- Skill Disguise: - What good spy wouldn't be able to change their apperance through putting on extra clothing, wigs, makeup as well as using other tricks of the trade.
- Stealth: - Yuliya knows how to sneak around and keep to the shadows.
- Cooking**: - Yuliya is quite at cooking, and has been known to make meals for other agents from time to time.
- KGB Sleeper Agent: - Yuliya is a member of the KGB and is currently awaiting activation in New York.
- Advantage Building Insurance Assessor/adjustor - She has to earn her money somehow, as she can't risk a financial tie between herself and the KGB at the moment. This can also let her poke around some restricted areas without gathering too much unwanted attention.
- Small time importer: - Cheap radios and record players direct from the factory. Who doesn't want their very own shoddy Colonel Motors radio direct from West Germany? She can also recieve small supplies from the KGB when activated to help assist her fellow agents.
- Father's Influence: - Yuliya's father is a tyrant of a man and has been known to abuse his power to get ahead. Yuliya can sometimes use his name to get what she needs at times.
- Safe House: - Yuliya currently operates a safe house out of her apartment if fellow agents need to escape some heat.
- Only Human: - Sure, her ability to find weakpoints might be impressive, but she's still only human. She doesn't heal quickly, bullets hurt and she can't fly. She's pretty much just an ordinary person at the end of the day.
- ** Father: - Her adopted father is a scary man, and expects the best from his daughter. Being a fellow KGB agent, she's extremely cautious about making any mistake that might make it back to his ears.
- Industrial Deafness**: - Yuliya's hearing is fine in quiet areas, though her work with explosives has left her hard of hearing in areas with loud noises. It can be easy to move up behind her when there is a lot of noise.
