It is a battle at first, eyes pushing lids open against the light that is starting to creep into the bedroom of the apartment. Gabriel struggles to waken and pushes down a yawn as his arms lift to stretch. The memories of the previous night flooding into him as he stirs and a tired, lazy smile crosses his face before he stirs up to sit more. The emotions flow off him. Curiosity, being satiated, pleased, all pleasant emotions as he moves his feet and goes to start getting up and ready to stand, the struggle to gain his bearings.

*

Thankfully, Jean was still asleep. She truly needed that absence of energy. His struggle to stir draws the same out of her, one leg hung off the side of the bed, an arm following as she feels the first hint of wood at the tip of her toes.

"Nffgngnh.." Is all that was heard, then a slow.. 'WOOP!' And a *THUD!*

Well, Jean was awake now! She fell off the bed!

*

Gabriel tries not to chuckle too much, but he does sit up some and looks over the edge of the bed to where Jean fell off. He manages a smile and a dry comment to her, "You didn't need to try to escape that quickly." The words are tired sounding, teasing. "You slept finally."

*

Jean was a tangled mess in the sheets, some which were drawn over parts that were too salacious to be mentioned, a bare thigh here strewn out in a slight sprawl as she lets out a huff to blow hair from her face. "I wasn't running!" She blurts out, her cheeks a little bit red as she gathers her senses, kneeling up upon her knees to meet him with a push of her nose against his. "Thanks to you.." Though, realization sets in, which has her looking around the room to check for damage. And then to him.. "Are.. are you hurt?"

*

"Hurt?" Gabriel asks to Jean, shaking his head a bit with a chuckle. Even the sheets are fine, any ambient energy she released was absorbed immediately by him, leaving everything as it was before, except of course the messed up sheets and blankets. The nose against his is nudged back, a gentle kiss placed on her chin. "I'm not hurt in the least. Nothing here is. Even when you began to flame… it did nothing."

*

Jean nods slightly, her nose brushing against his as her eyes close. There was a little bit of worry, but his calm words ease her as she reaches out with a hand to touch his face.

"You -have- to be a mutant.." She says quietly, her fingers soon reaching out to trace along his tattoos.. "No.. maybe alien.. I've never met anyone who could do that for me. And.. -She- thinks you're familiar."

*

Reaching down, Gabriel attempts to pull and scoop Jean up back onto the bed with him rather than leave her on the cold floor. "What do you mean she thinks I'm familiar?" The words from Jean are a bit revealing, leading to curiosity from Gabriel as he gently soothes her hair back and makes way to many swoony faces.

*

"I haven't told you about her?" She asks quietly, drawing her arms around his neck as he lifts her, her body drawn close to his, the blankets soon wrapped about his shoulders to cocoon him in.

"I.. can't explain what she is. Only that she's here." She gestures to her heart, and then her mind. "Sometimes.. she comes out. Or she watches. And I could feel her watching.." The ring of fire around her eyes. "But she's old. And new at the same time. She's seen the stars."

*

Gabe tilts his head, nuzzles nose a bit and then pulls away to look questioningly towards her. "She's seen the stars and she recognizes me?" That actually concerns him a bit ,not enough to freak him out but it is information that he has not known before. An extra piece of the mystery. "Have you known for awhile or… was it last night?"

*

Jean frowns. "It's.. not you that she recognizes. But the writing on the wall inside your mind.." She explains. She's known for some time, but she didn't say anything.. but the only thing that she could manage to bring herself to do was shrug.

Fine. The truth. "I've.. known for a while. From when I first tried to help you.."

*

"Oh." Gabriel frowns a bit and then tilt shis head, "Was there a reason you didn't want to tell me?" He wasn't upset but moreso curious as to why she'd withhold this from him. There is a great amount of trust he has, trusting that she has a reason, and a good one, for not having revealed that and his trust is emphasized with again, a gentle kiss to her forehead. Hopefully she isn't opposed to his apparent cuddly tendancies.

*

"Scared." She confesses. Jean was a horrible liar. And there was really no sense in her trying to keep things from him. "You might -really- be an alien. Someone from another planet. And it's a hard reality to deal with, I think, especially with what has happened recently." She didn't mind it at all, she didn't even shy away from him. It all made it easier for her to speak. "And I wanted to.. want to do everything to protect you."

*

Slowly he reaches up and does something that she did to him. Finger raises, comes to her nose and he gently pushes it. "Boop." Such a serious moment and conversation, and he just simply boops her nose. "I know you mean the best, want to protect. Just, let's trust each other?" He smiles and glances up and down them, entwined, laying in the morning. "I mean we've survived so far, what's the worse that could happen?"

*

Boop? Jean blinks, her eyes nearly crossing as she breaks out into a laugh. Her head nods immediately, a little grin pressing upon her face as she gives a faint shrug.

"Well, she could get angry and burn the world?" But, she was just kidding! Nothing like that would ever happen, she was just.. too happy in the moment.

*

Gabriel frowns and then shakes his head, "I do not think that will happen. You haven't burned anything with me around have you?" He asks it sweet and then turns himself some, presses Jean to lay back against the bed to relax some. "We have a whole day in this city, what were you planning on doing?" His voice grows a bit distant as he asks it, largely because he has begun to kiss his way down her body while having a conversation. "We should probably look at my box some as well." The movement continues making his way.

*

"No.." Jean says with a little bit of wonderment, her body pliable to him, easily moved as he lays her upon the pillows. The blankets were bunched up as she stares at the ceiling.. thinking of todays plans and..

"Making you breakfast.., possibly a visit to the park.." Her head lifts as she watches him, a blush immediately curling her features. "..maybe.. stay here.. I think."

*

"I was told I need to get you a gift for the holidays." Gabriel responds, not stopping his movements until he has settled. "What sort of things do you like as gifts?" He doesn't find it odd, or cruel, to carry on a conversation while teasing her. In fact he teases a bit longer before springing up from the bed and almost bouncing, looking ready to start the day.

*

"You don't need to get me a gift. Just come home and meet my parents.." The kisses made her near breathless, her body sinking further into the bed as she draws in a slight gasping moan.

"I.. I don't know what I'd like but.. but.." She stammers out.. and then? Nothing! She immediately sits up, clear frustration upon her face as she flops back down, grasping the pillows to smother herself and scream..

A scream that actually shook the apartment and.. caused a glass to break in the distance.

*

The scream causes the shake, Gabriel looks around and is not concerned in the least, even as the rattling of breaking glass is heard in the room far off. Instead when the pillow is removed he's standing there grinning like a cat at Jean. "What?" He's terribly playful and teasing. He hasn't left, he's just standing there watching her with undisguised lust in his eyes. "Is there something you wanted?" Being terrible may be in his nature but there is an emotional joy that he has, both at seeing her and knowing he did this.

*

Jean was clearly flustered and frustrated. While he carried that look of lust, Jean herself looked a little perturbed. "You are an evil.. evil man Gabriel.." She playfully scolds, bouncing slightly from the bed as she stands, her arms raised to the ceiling to stretch.

"I'm going to go shower." He was welcome to join, and if not? They'd share a nice fruit and a lovely bowl of salad.
