Today Dazzler isn't actually booked for an appearance at the Eight Ball, but a friend of hers is performing today and she came to enjoy his show for a change. Not appearing on stage, she didn't dress up in a dazzling manner, but rather simple. A sort of beatnik inspired black and white stripped top, with black pants, and a set of catseye shades over her eyes. She is hanging out by the bar, sipping a daiquiri from a straw.

*

Ne wasnt exactly the musical sort. But then, most of the time mutes don't exactly make the greatest songstress. What the young mutant did have a talent for however was pool, and tonight? She'd decided to make a little cash and relax after her more serious dealings. The clothing that wrapped her form was the usual skirts of her disguise, however once more her odd-colored hair and eyes were revealed as their true pink and brown hues.

*

Julie comes on in then, with a bucket of some kind full of what might be parts and pieces of something. Strange robots had attacked recently, and some of the neighborhood kids had been gathering them, actually, she waves a work-gloved hand to Ne and sets down her bucket nearby. "Hey, Ne, how ya doing?" Her accent's local Italian-American, and she says. "Gonna grab a beer and a sandwich or something if you want anything." It's then she has a glance around the hall.

*

Dazzler can't help but look curiously at Julie as she comes in with a bucket of metallic parts, quite unusual for a venue, and then there's the oddity of a little girl trying to hustle grown ups at pool. Another rare sight, she hopes it won't lead to trouble, as she keeps watch from afar by the counter.

*

Ne actually blinks, tilting her head at the new arrival. Ne's height might do her no favours when trying to prove her maturity, but at least she's well enough known that Julie's offer wasn't going to get them in trouble. A shrug and a smile, she holds up two fingers, before tapping the second and giving a thumbs up. Who doesn't like a sandwich?

*

Julie smiles, then, and says, "I'll just see what's good today, then," and winks. She's apparently known to the barkeep as well, as she addresses him by name, and says, "How bout a Schaeffer and I dunno, she looks at the chalkboard, "Oh, I guess let's split one of them pastrami heros," she says, having a look toward Dazzler as something of a new face here. "Hey, how ya doing?" she repeats a greeting, and smiles a bit at the taller lady."

*

Ne herself is eying the pool tables, but so far she makes no moves. It was easier to hustle when there were more drunks or at least more people playing after all. Instead the young woman shrugs, moving towards the bar herself and Julie's side, turning her hetrochromic gaze towards the new face that is Dazzler and giving a lazy wave of greeting.

*

Dazzler inclines her head at Julie, and offers, "they make spectacular daiquiri," and punctuates with a sip. She hasn't sampled the food, so doesn't offer a recommendation for that. "Who is your friend? Isn't she a bit young to hustle pool?" Alison asks curiously, offering a return wave back at Ne.

*

Julie smiles there, glancing back, "Oh, this is Ne, …she don't talk, …guess I never asked about no age requirements for that," she winks. A yellow beer's poured and she grabs a stool, since they're all there, setting work gloves on the bar to offer a hand. "Everyone calls me Dizzy. New around here?"

*

"She doesn't?" Alison looks a bit shaken by the very thought of not being able to talk, then again, for a singer, it's probably just about the most dreadful idea in the universe. "Do you know how old she is?" Alison follows up when Julie admits to not knowing the age requirements for pool hustling. Not that there is one, but honestly, Ne looks far too young for it. "Dizzy? That's fun…I've actually performed here a few times…today I'm just taking it easy, enjoying Bones, the smooth cat on stage," she points to the man dressed in a nice suit, playing some jazz music on his guitar.

*

A frown, Ne actually looks a little annoyed for a moment. Mute doesn't mean deaf after all. Even so, the woman shakes her head before shrugging her shoulders. What proof can the woman offer a stranger really? Her youthful appearance was good when it came to making others underestimate her, but it has its drawbacks. Still the mention of performing earns a raised eyebrow of questioning towards Dazzler. Performing what exactly?

*

Julie hrms, there sipping her beer and having another look. "Aha, thought you looked a bit familiar, coulda been the record shop," she winks.

*

Julie ahs, as Dazzler's diverted by the music set or perhaps trying to stay more discreet or whatnot, adding to Ne, "She does some of that new type music, guess she could be big, kinda thought she might be one of us, the way she puts on some kind of light show." She sips her beer as the sandwich is made up, cut in half, and put on two plates for the girls. "Been sorta helping out after the weird robot attack, don't suppose you saw anything?"

*

Ne nods, watching the departing Dazzler before shrugging. A lightshow? Her own powers were close enough, if not a little chillier than one would expect. Talk of weird robots makes Ne raise her brow but shake her head before she raises her hands, miming a hammer and nail. She's been busy working? Building? Hanging portraits?

*

Julie hrms, seeming to be catching the drift there, and says "Yeah, Iggy and Bob have had the kids picking up some pieces of those robots, may as well see what I can make of em. I know a couple folks might know more about this kind of thing, but hey. If they come again it'll help to know what kind of fasteners they use in there." She indicates the bucket as sandwiches and things are passed over there. She goes for some mustard with hers. "Ever had pastrami? Kind of a local thing not too far from here."

*

Ne nods. She thinks she has, but Ne always had more of a preference for asian food…and of course, her namesake, but a sweet tooth wasnt something even she would exclusively indulge. Listening to the tail of robots, the woman with the icecream hair closes her eyes, basking in the taste of the sandwich split.
