Ever since her performance on the Ed Sullivan show, Dazzler's fame has truly been on the raise. She's been getting recognized in more place, asked for autographs, and even suffered the occasional harassment from the devout religious group who marked her as a target for corrupting the youth with her shows of devil worship. At least that's how they interpreted her inexplicable lightshows during her concerts. To that end, Alison dressed inconspicuously today, just some plain capris, and a striped black and white top with a simple jacket on top. Catseye shades on her eyes for some cover, and she took to finding inspiration in Central Park, sitting on a bench across from the track of joggers, she has a notepad in her lap and a pen in hand, scribbling down some lines that may yet become her next song.
*
It's probably good thing that either the zombies from the night before were scared off or they aren't out during the day. Otherwise, things could be a lot more messy. Maybe that's why Richard Grayson is wandering the park…in a sort of patrol out of his vigilante outfit. In fact, he's dressed quite trendily with one of the new 'Beatles'-style haircuts. There's a paper cup of coffee in one hand that gets the occasional sip as he moves along.
Deciding that he's hungry, he grabs a soft pretzel from a street vendor and takes a seat on the bench next to the sunglassed woman. She gets an apologetic smile as he joins her, setting his coffee on the ground so he can dig into his soft pretzel and little cup of mustard.
*
Alison doesn't seem to mind company when Richard sits next to her with his cup of coffee, she shuffles a bit to give him more room on the bench, looking him over and taking note of the haircut, asking, "Beatles fan? If so, name your fav…" she likes to see who's just hype and who is into the thing. No doubt Beatles rose to such prominence, even some people that don't care about music get pulled along for the ride.
*
Richard turns to the young woman and blinks a moment until he realizes she's commenting on his hair cut. "Ah. Yeah, you should have seen it before…total mess. I'm not a super-fan but I like to keep with the trends. However, to answer your question, favorite song may be 'Till there was You' or 'To Know Her is to Love Her'. Esoteric ones, to say the least. "Why?"
*
Alison laughs when Richard gives her a song, and not one of the super hyped one like Love Love Me Do and She Loves You, "nice…I meant whose your fave out of the fab four, it tells a lot about a person, did you know that?" She puts it to Richard, before scribbling another line in her notepad.
*
"Does it?" Richard asks with a grin. "I never really thought of a favorite individual. I mean, I like them as a group. I like their sound as a group. What do each of them mean?" Maybe after that, he'll declare a favorite? "I'm not like a fawning fan like that. But it was this haircut or a crew cut." So he went with the stylish one.
*
"Like I'm gonna tell…" Alison laughs and winks playfully at Richard, "but do tell me you at least know all of their names? Do you?" She continues her musical quiz, maybe Richard shouldn't have chosen to sit next to her after all. "Obviously, you don't have a shot of marrying any of them," Alison laughs, stressing a point she knows well from the music industry, you have to appeal to your fan with the delusion that you're attainable. Why else all the song speaking to 'loving you' directly.
*
"Wow," Grayson chuckles, "I didn't realize I'd be quizzed!" He takes another bite of his pretzel as he thinks, "John, Paul, George, and…uh, it's a weird one…Ringer? Something like that. And I'm good…not looking to get married for a while and probably not going to marry another guy. So most of their fans are safe from me."
*
"Hey…if you're going to sit next to me, sporting a Beatles' inspired hairdo, you better believe you'll get quizzed," Alison grins, looking quite pleased with herself. She raises a finger for each name he gets right, making it three fingers, before with a giggle she corrects, "Ringo, but I'll let you have it. Nice. Most don't get it all right. I mean, unless they're girls." Alison laughs a bit louder when Richard isn't fazed by her joke, "didn't peg you as a guy who would marry another guy. I'd say lucky me, but I also have to stay single…"
*
And how -his- interest is piqued. "You -have- to stay single? Why is that? I mean, it's none of my business, but you usually hear the opposite from attractive and mysterious young women nowadays." They all -want- to find a husband and get married. "And I happen to think it's important to stay up on the news, political and entertainment included." After all, he's a fairly well-known member of New York Society. Can't be seen shirking on his Social duties without forcing some gossip to start up.
*
"Same reason they have to stay single," Alison doesn't provide a direct answer, but provides a tip, considering their talk thus far. "I'm mysterious? Thank you," she giggles, pleased with the thought. An air of James Bond about her, no doubt. "I try to keep up to date on what I manage, I usually have a busy schedule."
*
"Yeah, but do you think they do? I mean, all those girls at their concerts? Sneaking their way backstage?" Richard doesn't look convinced. The giggle gets a grin, "Well, the sunglasses and jacket certainly say you're either supremely stylish or don't want to reveal everything.' He wipes his hand off on a napkin before offering it, "Richard Grayson. I means, since I told you the name of all four Beatles, I figured I should at least introduce myself."
*
"They do what…?" Alison doesn't quite seem to follow, that or she lost track of the conversation when she took her head down to scribble another line in her notepad. "Hey, stylish is good," she comments, not quite adding anything about the other point. She does put her notepad down in her lap, to free one hand for a handshake with Richard, "Alison Blaire," she introduces herself in turn, it would take a true fan to attach that name to Dazzler. She usually gets by this way, avoiding extra attention when she doesn't really seek it.
*
Richard may not recognize the name if it's not well-known. "A pleasure, Ms. Blaire, and…it's probably not best to discuss in such nice company. But while those guys may not be seen out with girls, I'm pretty sure they aren't steering clear." Because he sure wouldn't be in their position. Blue eyes glance to the notepad, "So, are you taking notes then? A journalist or writer?"
*
"Oh, you could bet on them being with the best looking girls all the time, Richard," Alison doesn't seem like she's a fool, shaking her head with amusement as she picks up her notepad again, "not notes, writing a song."
*
"And thus not single. Although maybe they're not sticking to any sort of exclusive relationship." And why would they? Again, Grayson wouldn't if he had their popularity. There's an arch of his eyebrow when he gets an answer that wasn't quite expected. "And that's why you asked me about the Beatles. Got it."
*
"They don't have any pulicized girlfriend, that explains it better?" Alison asks, peering at Richard through her catseye shades. "Yeah…you could say I'm in the profession. I care about music. It's pretty much my life."
*
Richard chuckles, "I think it probably does." He looks at her notebook again before offering another nod. "Hey, that's great. I mean, passions are pretty fantastic. Must be nice to have something that you feel so strongly about."
*
"I think everyone has that drive inside have them, just have to find what it is, and not be scared to go after it," Alison provides her life lesson, not that she's had too many years considering how young she looks, but that doesn't stop her.
